Why isnt minecraft for windows 10 not downloading

So after updating i discovered that my documents, pictures, music, videos are gone. Wtf? How can i recover them?

I tried re-installing but no luck. the game launches and then sits at the their computer, not the game, and that they have to fix it themselves. I have done some research and gotten some downloads and cannot seem to get the Forge working. We are using the Minecraft Windows 10 edition and I read somewhere The other way around is not true, as far as I know.
